For my 30th birthday, I thought of 100 ideas of how to celebrate, but surprisingly, none of them really felt quite right. I brainstormed a spa, a bed and breakfast, a fancy dinner...and it occurred to me the problem was that none of them included Madeline. As many of you know, I asked around for the perfect family trip and was decided to go to Kalahari, until I heard they had mice--deal breaker!And so it was my friend Leila who told me about the happiest place on earth: Sesame Place, outside of downtown Philadelphia.
We took Madeline and soon discovered what her heaven looks like. The park had characters galore with a fair share of hugs and high fives. Madeline even got to dance with Ernie, Bert, and Elmo.
We were lucky enough that my brother Michael was able to join us (and arrange and pay for a baby sitter and a fancy dinner at Budakhan). We also toured the cities high points and went to the Please Touch Museum.
All in all, it was an unforgettable experience that was fun for the whole family.
